Museum ClientWindows users can submit documents to Museum from Outlook and Windows explorer.InstallingSteps to perform on each PC from which you wish to submit: 1. Click here to download the Museum Client Software installer 2. A window will pop open showing the filename. The filename will have a information about the Museum Server in it. Don't rename the file. 3. Run the file and follow the prompts. Submitting Emails From Microsoft OutlookMuseum menu items will appear when you right click an email folder, an email, or a group of selected emails.
Select "Museum Send..." to submit your emails to Museum. Submitting Files From Windows ExplorerMuseum menu items will appear when you right click a folder, a file, or a group of selected files.
Select "Museum Send..." to submit your files to Museum. Client Software ConfigurationSelect "Museum Configuration" from the Outlook or Windows Explorer right click menus.
The Server URL points to the machine the server software was installed on and specifies http or https depending on whether SSL is enabled on the server installation. The user and password should be configured to the user and password that is to be used when documents are submitted (User Administration). The Preferred Email Client is used to specify which email client to launch when the user clicks on a "reply to" or "view" email address in the browser based email viewer. Monitoring Outlook Email Folders and File System DirectoriesFile system directories and Outlook mail folders can be monitored. Any new files or email that arrive will be automatically sent to Museum. To Monitor a directory: open Windows explorer, right click on the folder and select "Museum Send". To Monitor an email folder: open your Microsoft Outlook, right click on the email folder and select "Museum Send". The following dialog box will then be displayed:
If you check "Monitor folder and send new files to Museum" and click OK the monitor will be setup and activated.
Configuring Monitored ItemsTo configure email folders and directories that are being monitored, from the Windows Start Menu, select "All programs -> Museum Client -> Monitor Configuration"
This is the number of hours that emails will sit in an email folder without
being submitted to Museum. Once they are older than this, they will be
sent to Museum. This gives you the chance to delete or move emails from your
